Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use README Roast, we collect the following data:

• README content you paste: Sent to AI for analysis only. We do not store, train on, or share the content of your READMEs. It is discarded immediately after the analysis is returned.
• Email address (optional): If you sign up for notifications, we store your email address to send product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Analytics: We use privacy-friendly analytics to collect anonymous usage data (page views, device type). No personal information is tracked.

How we use your data

• To provide the README analysis service
• To process payments via Stripe
• To send product updates (if you opted in)
• To improve the product via anonymous analytics

Third-party services

• Anthropic: README content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
• Stripe: Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare: Hosting and analytics. Subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Data retention

README content is not retained after analysis. Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Payment records are retained as required by law.
